Busuyi Joshua Akindele

I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with diverse experience across acute inpatient, PICU, forensic, community, and emergency settings within both NHS and private healthcare sectors. Currently, I serve as a 136 Charge Nurse and a Mental Health Liaison Practitioner at HPFT-NHS, where I provide rapid assessment, crisis intervention, and collaborative care planning for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.

Over the years, I have developed a strong reputation for clinical excellence, leadership, and compassion. My practice is grounded in empathy and evidence-based care — ensuring that every patient receives holistic, person-centred support. I take pride in my ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, deliver effective crisis management, and uphold the highest standards of safety, dignity, and professionalism.

In addition to my clinical expertise, I have completed specialised training as an ADHD Nurse Assessor, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to assess, identify, and support individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. This experience has deepened my understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions and strengthened my ability to deliver integrated, holistic mental health care across the lifespan.

Throughout my career, I have held various leadership and specialist roles — including Custody Nurse Assessor, Community Complex Care Nurse, and PICU Specialist Nurse — working with reputable NHS Trusts and agencies such as Hywel Dda University Health Board, Betsi, Anuerin Bevan, and Swansea Bay. These roles have enriched my skills in risk assessment, crisis de-escalation, and multidisciplinary coordination, enabling me to provide tailored care in high-pressure environments.
