Build a strong foundation in the ADOS-2's rationale and structure. This module explores:

Its role within a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary autism assessment
The module-selection decision framework, based on age and expressive language level

This module builds the foundation for confident, defensible module selection.

Day 1

Administration & Observational Targets

This practical module covers live administration across all five ADOS-2 modules. You will learn:

Key observational targets across all five modules — Toddler Module through Module 4
The social affect and RRB domains explained
How to apply the module-selection framework in real clinical scenarios

Through clinical vignette discussions, you will develop confidence in live ADOS-2 administration.

Day 2

Coding, Scoring & Reporting

This final module focuses on standardised coding, scoring, and defensible reporting. You will cover:

Standardised coding principles — codes 0–3 and special codes 7, 8 and 9 (WPS protocol)
Calculating the Total Algorithm Score and Comparison Score for Modules 1–3
Avoiding common interpretation pitfalls: anchoring, ceiling effects, examiner drift and confirmation bias
Writing a person-centred, legally defensible ADOS-2 report section
