According to NICE Guideline NG87, ADHD assessments should be carried out by a suitably qualified healthcare professional with the appropriate knowledge, training and clinical competencies. Our ADHD assessor training is designed to help clinicians develop these assessment skills alongside recognised clinical approaches.
You'll learn how to assess adults with ADHD using recognised clinical approaches, including DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, DIVA-5 assessment methods, case discussions and evidence-based assessment techniques. Our ADHD training courses are designed for healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, GPs and other clinicians involved in neurodevelopmental assessments. The ADHD Assessor Training Course is delivered over one full day (approximately 8 hours) through live online training via Microsoft Teams. The programme includes interactive teaching, practical discussions, mock assessments and a live Q&A session.
