According to NICE Guideline NG87, ADHD assessments should be carried out by a suitably qualified healthcare professional with the appropriate knowledge, training and clinical competencies. Our ADHD assessor training is designed to help clinicians develop these assessment skills alongside recognised clinical approaches.
You'll learn how to assess adults with ADHD using recognised clinical approaches, including DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, DIVA-5 assessment methods, case discussions and evidence-based assessment techniques. Our ADHD training courses are designed for healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, GPs and other clinicians involved in neurodevelopmental assessments. The trainer’s course was highly informative and gave me a strong baseline understanding of how to assess patients with ADHD. He clarified misconceptions I had, particularly that ADHD is not just about hyperactivity but also involves inattention. The ADHD training I recently received was very good and was an eye opener for me in so many ways including recognising a lot of symptoms that I and some of my family members have meeting the criteria for ADHD diagnosis.
