Remote Autism Assessment Clinicians (ADOS & ADI-R)

Job responsibilities

You will be responsible for delivering structured autism assessments and producing clear diagnostic reports to support patients and their families.

• ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule)
• 1-hour assessment + scoring
• 1–2 page report stating whether the patient falls above or below the diagnostic cutoff
• Report and scoring must be completed within 48 hours to allow smooth handover to the ADI-R clinician
• ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised)
• 1–1.5 hour structured interview
• 1–2 page written report addressing DSM-5 criteria
• Report to be submitted within 5–8 working days

All patients will have completed a comprehensive pre-assessment questionnaire and informant questionnaire prior to their appointment. Suggested report templates are provided for consistency.

Requirements

• 6–12 months’ experience conducting autism assessments
• Consultant Psychiatrist preferred for ADI-R assessments
• Experience with both children (8+) and adults desirable
• Must hold appropriate indemnity insurance
• Must be able to provide a redacted sample report (ADOS or ADI-R) as part of the application process
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised (contracted via a limited company)
• Strong attention to detail and timely report writing
• Flexible availability (evenings and weekends available)

Pay (depending on experience)

ADOS: £150–£200 per case

ADI-R: £250–£330 per case
